One thing that should characterize true Christians church is their ability to follow the teachings of their Lord Jesus Christ. Any deviation from His teachings is condemnable. While on earth, Jesus taught his followers day and night and highlighted why they must not be hypocrites. Coincidentally, Jesus lived during a time when the religious leaders then (Pharisees and Sadducee) took their hypocrisy to a great new length in many dimensions. And Jesus did not mix words - he condemned them openly. And he warned his followers: "Do not be like them..."

Today, has Christianity changed? Are modern days Christians supposed to deviate from their Lord's teachings and commands? After the things I am about to say, you may be forced to conclude that Bible prophecies are coming to pass. And I believe the Lord himself saw this coming when worriedly he asked: "Will I still find faith on earth when I come back?" What did he mean? Many things have changed. The Bible foretold of false Christians who are already misled and who will go on misleading many others.

Now, back to topic. Christendom church leaders and BIG titles and BIG offices. Commanding great awe and respect. Let us give examples: Most Reverends, Popes, Fathers, and other lofty titles. Are these in harmony with Jesus Christ's arrangement? The first question is why must we follow Jesus' model?

See 1 Peter 2:21 -
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Yes, Jesus left and example for his followers to follow his steps closely. So, any deviation from such examples is not approved by Christ himself.

Second, the Pharisees (whom Jesus called hypocrites) did similar things these Christendom church leaders are doing today. How do we arrive at that?

Matthew chapter 23 says it all in Jesus own words. Let us examine some few verses:

Mathew 23
“The scribes and the Pharisees... 6 They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, 7 greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ 8 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 [b]Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

... 13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

Jesus didn't stop there:

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.[f] 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

To add to these, at a point, apostle John saw visions, being led by an angel. At a point, he was about worshipping an angel. Know what the angel did? Read:

Revelation Chapter 19
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

THE REALITY TODAY
Now, these bring us back to our topic. In reality today, what do we see in Christendom churches? The leaders occupy lofty positions, giving themselves big big titles. Most Reverends, Fathers! Fathers? Only God deserve those titles!

Jesus said it:
9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12 And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

So, in short these leave us with the question: Are these things right? What should be the structure in a Christian Church? Remember, the fact that something is widely accepted does not make it acceptable to God.

From Bible standpoint, Jesus said we are all brothers. In fact the greatest one among you shall be your servant. Not that the greatest one among you shall ride in private jets. Or wear special robes or dressings. All should be treated equally.

This goes out to every meek hearted one out there seeking the truth. the path to salvation is narrow, and only few find it. Take the narrow path, the less taken road. That is Jesus' admonition. Do not follow the multitude to do evil.

This is end times. Spiritual darkness abounds. Seek the Bible truth!
