Another quote says...

FOLLOW AND BUILD YOUR DREAMS TODAY, OR ELSE, ANOTHER MAN WILL HIRE YOU TO BUILD HIS OWN.

How true?

It's called Rat race slavery.

Your entire life will become molded and dependent on a paycheck to paycheck cycle. Then the fear creeps in. You become enslaved to your employer forever, unless you have the guts and plan and inborn fiery desire to break free.

The breaking free is where the problem is.

According to this saying:

Many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.

What stands between you and your freedom is your FEAR. How do we break that fear?

I think you have a point. There are different types of dreams. If your dream is to make a living forever while being bossed around, so be it.

Microsoft boss said:

I wasn't the brightest guy in class. I failed a few courses. But there was a brilliant guy who was the best in my class. Today, that guy is an engineer at Microsoft. And I own Microsoft.

So, in effect, there are dreams, and there are dreams. If your dream is to live in fear of being sacked all your life, so be it!!!

Salary is slavery lojokojo, except you earn 6 digits, with a solid 401k and some perks and your family is taken care of, for example if you work in oil industry.

Did I hear you say bankers too? Bankers are f*kd!

salary is a slave

A balanced view is needed here, I believe. I personally see working for salary as a stage in life, not the destination. There are life and entrepreneurial lessons you pick while working which will help you in your journey to freedom.

Salary is not a curse, but for the few ambitious people like myself, we see it as a learning stage, not a final destination.

If you are chosen, you will always feel the unquenchable fire burning inside you, telling you each day that you are born for greater things than being paid petty salary as a slave for life, waiting till you are pensionable -- that's a terrible outlook.

Rich Dad Poor Dad helped me a lot.

let me clear the air, it is expected that everyone should earn a salary, if your office is your house, the street, a kiosk or any place, either you work for yourself(boss) or someone else(employee), it is not seen as a bribe or slavery, note: if you don't set aside a token to pay your self as a dosomethingpreneur , your so called dream and ambition will crumble

Nice analogy. But what's the essence of a life lived in chains of financial agony of rate race and want?
