Eleven fulani civilians were kidnapped and killed in the latest bout of ethnic violence in Mali raising official death toll numbers to 14.

Hunters from the Dogoni community have been blamed for the attack on civilians who were on their way to the market.

Violence between nomadic fulani herders and farmers has escalated in Mali over the past three years.

There are accusations that the fulanis are colluding with jihadists.

UN says more than 300 civilians have died in ethnic clashes since the start of the year.
