The Seven Critical Steps to Success

Success is a journey. And a journey of a million miles starts with a step.
There are times when we taste ‘failure’. Failure necessarily pulls down our spirit. It is during this time that we grow very pessimistic. Everything within us and around us becomes gloomy. Life wears a grey tinge. It is not an exaggeration when I say that we all undergo a stage like that at least once in life.

The phase of advice and suggestion follows failure. People around us are full of good feelings and thoughts for us. There are some who rebuke us too. They blame us for being responsible for the failure. At once we feel that there should have been an ‘undo’ button in our life. Alas! not technology but biology dominates us.

Well, I am here to tell you all that there is ‘undo’ button even when we ‘fail’ miserably in life. It’s just that most of us have not seen it. I am now going to put forth seven wonderful ways of realizing the ‘undo’ button in life. Are you all ready? Here they go:

Seven Steps of Success

Let not failure dominate you: Remember nothing negative should dominate you in life. You should be as invincible and as unconquerable as a mountain. Believe that like all other phases failure is also a phase of life and will dilute into the oblivion like the last puff of smoke! It will leave you for better. Believe this.
There are many more things to do: Failure is not ‘be all, end all’ of life. Do not brood over the lost things endlessly. Just get up, pull your socks and keep yourself busy in doing things that hold your interest. You could perhaps book tickets for you and your friend for an Opera or a night show in theater. Do something that would engross you for a considerable period of time. You ought to feel refreshed!
Help others: You can talk to people who mean something to you. You can help others iron out their problems. When you do these kind of things you would see the concentration of your own problem diluting to a greater extent.
Keep your heart and mind spotless: Resentment, anger, hatred and other such negative emotions taint your soul. Keep yourself ‘FAR’ from these hazardous feelings. Forgive and forget.
Befriend hobbies: What?! You have no hobbies? Well all the unfriendly environment in your life is because of this. Develop some hobbies. Start cooking, gardening. Collect some old coins and stamps. Share them with your near and dear. Look how happy you seem to be in life!
Accept the challenges of your life: Remember no life is a bed of roses. So why do you want a bed of roses and toil for it uselessly? You should start accepting the challenges of your life with a very positive mind set. Believe ‘challenges are nothing but opportunities’.
You are successful:
Don’t pull a sorry face and sit around brooding over your past. Self-pity and loneliness are two devils that are prowling round the corner to attack you. Attack them and kill them. You are a born warrior. You are a winner. Get involved in some mental or physical activity.
Think of success, think of victory, think of ways to achieve your goals. This is what life is all about. Let not worry or any other negative feeling dominate you. Emerge a winner all the time!

In addition, I would say that the right attitude matters too, and that is a positive attitude. Its good to be an optimist rather than a pessimist. Thanks!
